Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Execute park maintenance duties including landscaping, irrigation, and facility upkeep
- Respond to emergency weather events (snow removal, storm cleanup) as required
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain organized work sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project timelines and resource allocation
- Complete accurate documentation and reporting of work activities and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in construction, landscaping, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works, construction, or maintenance roles
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (dump trucks, loaders, etc.) safely
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
