Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency public works requests within city guidelines
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean record
- 1+ years experience in public works, construction, or related field
- Ability to operate hand/power tools and light machinery
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
