Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate and maintain light/heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with municipal regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete infrastructure projects
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and service disruptions
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records
- Participate in public outreach and community engagement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Washington State driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction maintenance
- Certification in equipment operation (e.g., forklift, dump truck) preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and physical environments
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
