Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of parks, streets, and public facilities including landscaping, waste removal, and infrastructure inspections
- Operate municipal equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., trucks, mowers, snow removal tools)
- Respond to emergency weather events and disaster recovery operations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for community events and urban improvement projects
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document work activities and report maintenance issues
- Provide excellent customer service to community members
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works, landscaping, or related field
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
