Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public parks, streets, and municipal facilities
- Operate heavy equipment (e.g., mowers, trucks, snowplows) safely and efficiently
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
- Respond to weather emergencies (snow removal, storm cleanup) on a 24/7 rotational basis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Assist in public events setup and community outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Experience with heavy machinery operation (mowers, tractors, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of public works safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
