Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of parks, streets, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., mowers, trucks, snow removal equipment)
- Enforce municipal codes and safety regulations
- Respond to public inquiries and service requests
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records
- Participate in emergency response protocols during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee Class C Driver's License
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in public works, landscaping, or construction preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
