Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain complex network infrastructures including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data against cyber threats.
- Perform network troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues.
- Conduct regular network audits and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee network equipment procurement and deployment.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and changes in accordance with ITIL standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years in a government or public sector environment.
- Certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent is required.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSI), routing (BGP, OSPF), and switching (VLANs, STP).
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
