Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security rounds and headcounts to maintain safety protocols
- Respond to emergencies and de-escalate conflicts using approved techniques
- Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation for legal compliance
- Operate security systems including surveillance equipment and access controls
- Coordinate with day-shift officers for seamless transition of critical information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Oklahoma Peace Officer Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean criminal background check
- Ability to pass physical agility and psychological evaluation
- Strong conflict resolution skills and crisis management experience
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing systems
