Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities during night shifts to ensure facility security and compliance with regulations
- Conduct regular perimeter checks, headcounts, and emergency response drills
- Document incidents, observations, and disciplinary actions in digital reporting systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incidents or emergency evacuations
- Implement rehabilitation programs and educational workshops during night hours
- Operate security systems including CCTV, access controls, and perimeter detection equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; college coursework in criminal justice preferred
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean driving record
- Pass extensive background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Must be 21+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with digital reporting tools
- Ability to work independently during night shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
