Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during overnight hours
- Conduct regular security checks and perimeter patrols
- Respond to emergencies, altercations, and medical incidents
- Document incidents, maintain logs, and prepare detailed reports
- Screen visitors and packages according to protocol
- Supervised inmate movement and rehabilitation program participation
- Collaborate with day shift officers for seamless transition
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness test
- Basic computer literacy and record-keeping skills
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Previous law enforcement or security experience a plus
