Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts to maintain order
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with swift, professional intervention
- Document all observations and incidents using standardized reporting systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
- Maintain accurate logs of facility operations and personnel movements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Louisiana Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills
- Physical fitness to handle emergency response situations
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
