Responsibilities
- Maintain facility security through systematic patrols and surveillance during overnight hours
- Monitor inmate behavior and enforce institutional policies with firm fairness
- Conduct headcounts and cell inspections to ensure compliance
- Respond swiftly to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations
- Document all activities using incident reports and security logs
- Collaborate with day-shift staff for seamless operations
- Operate security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access controls
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Oklahoma Peace Officer certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Pass background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing
- Must be U.S. citizen and at least 21 years old
