Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during overnight hours
- Conduct regular security rounds and headcounts to prevent contraband
- Respond to emergencies including medical incidents, disturbances, and security breaches
- Document incidents and maintain accurate shift reports
- Screen visitors and packages according to protocol
- Participate in training programs for defensive tactics and crisis management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods during night shift
