Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and maintain facility security during overnight hours
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance rounds
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation protocols
- Document all incidents and security breaches in compliance with state regulations
- Screen visitors and packages according to facility policies
- Collaborate with law enforcement during transport and emergency situations
- Participate in mandatory training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or corrections preferred
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills
- Physical ability to restrain and subdue individuals if necessary
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
