Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during night hours
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts to ensure facility integrity
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations with immediate intervention
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation using digital systems
- Collaborate with day shift teams for seamless operations and information transfer
- Implement emergency protocols during critical incidents or security breaches
- Screen visitors and packages to maintain facility security standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- Strong conflict resolution skills and de-escalation techniques
- Proficiency in using security monitoring systems and digital reporting tools
- Ability to remain alert and make sound decisions during night shift hours
