Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility protocols during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular security checks and maintain accurate incident reports
- Respond to emergencies and de-escalate conflicts using approved procedures
- Process incoming/outgoing personnel and enforce access control measures
- Collaborate with day shift teams for seamless operations and information sharing
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and county regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid California Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
- Minimum 1 year corrections or security experience
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
