Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for alerts and anomalies during the night shift.
- Conduct real-time analysis of network traffic and system logs to identify potential cyber threats.
- Execute incident response procedures to contain and neutralize security breaches.
- Document security events, incidents, and resolution steps in the central ticketing system.
- Collaborate with day-shift analysts and federal stakeholders to ensure continuous coverage.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation strategies for identified risks.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Cybersecurity or Network Security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high alertness during night shifts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
