Responsibilities
- Continuous Monitoring: 24/7 surveillance of network traffic, security alerts, and intrusion detection systems during the night shift.
- Incident Response: Rapidly investigate, triage, and mitigate security breaches or anomalies detected during off-hours.
- Data Integrity: Perform scheduled backups, patch management, and system maintenance on sensitive government databases.
- Compliance Reporting: Document security events and generate detailed reports for the morning shift leadership team and regulatory auditors.
- Access Control: Manage and verify user access privileges to ensure strict compliance with security protocols.
- Critical Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for emergency communications and system alerts.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or information assurance.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or CISSP preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and scripting languages.
