Responsibilities
- Conduct Security Patrols: Monitor and patrol assigned federal facilities and grounds to ensure the safety and security of occupants and property.
- Access Control: Verify credentials and control entry/exit points to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive federal buildings.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, utilizing de-escalation techniques and physical intervention when necessary.
- Incident Reporting: Prepare detailed written reports documenting observations, incidents, and activities during your shift.
- Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional assistance to federal employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Vigilance: Remain alert to suspicious activities and report potential threats to law enforcement authorities immediately.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Background Check: Must successfully complete a federal background investigation and drug screening.
- Criminal Record: No felony convictions or domestic violence convictions.
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to pass a physical fitness test and meet medical standards.
- Experience: Previous experience in law enforcement, security, or military service is highly preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
