Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray machines, CT scanners, and walk-through metal detectors to identify prohibited items and ensure the safety of the airport environment.
- Passenger Assistance: Provide excellent customer service to travelers while explaining screening procedures and resolving any security concerns.
- Baggage Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of carry-on and checked baggage to detect threats and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Security Protocols: Adhere strictly to TSA directives and security protocols to maintain a secure screening environment.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to report security anomalies or equipment malfunctions.
- Physical Agility: Perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting bags, and pat-downs as required by the role.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Background Check: Must pass a background investigation, including a criminal history check, drug screening, and credit check.
- Physical Health: Must meet medical standards, including vision and hearing requirements, and be able to perform physical duties.
