Responsibilities
- System Monitoring: Oversee and maintain the uptime of federal network infrastructure and critical applications during off-peak hours.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex IT issues and service tickets with minimal supervision.
- Security Compliance: Enforce federal security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage access controls.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate emergency response efforts for system outages and security breaches.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of night operations, system changes, and incident reports.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with day-shift teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless workflow transitions.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT support, network administration, or system engineering within a federal or defense contracting environment.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be available to work the night shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) on a rotating schedule.
- Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one prior to start date.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and network protocols (TCP/IP).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
