Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot city-wide network infrastructure and server environments during the night shift.
- Respond to and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 IT service tickets submitted by city employees with urgency and accuracy.
- Perform routine system patching, updates, and maintenance to ensure security compliance and system stability.
- Conduct nightly security audits and vulnerability checks to protect sensitive government data.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and support of end-user devices, including laptops, printers, and mobile equipment.
- Document all technical incidents, resolutions, and system changes in the Service Management database.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional IT support or systems administration experience in a government or enterprise environment.
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 suite.
- Proven experience with network troubleshooting, hardware diagnostics, and virtualization technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently during the night shift without direct supervision.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
