Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshooting for government staff during night operations.
- Monitor network infrastructure, server health, and security systems to ensure 24/7 uptime.
- Perform critical system maintenance, software updates, and security patching during off-peak hours.
- Resolve hardware and software incidents reported via the internal help desk ticketing system.
- Document all incident resolutions, maintenance logs, and change management procedures.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with city and federal IT security policies and protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience working in a technical support role within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with government compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, HIPAA) is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts without direct supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
