Responsibilities
- Incident Management: Monitor and resolve IT incidents, tickets, and service requests during night hours to ensure business continuity.
- System Administration: Perform routine maintenance, patch management, and security audits on servers and workstations.
- Network Support: Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues, including LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN access for remote and on-site staff.
- Security Compliance: Enforce security protocols and assist in the deployment of cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive government data.
- Remote Assistance: Provide technical support and guidance to state employees working from home or remote locations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, resolutions, and system configurations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in IT Help Desk or System Administration.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
