Role Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of our state agency networks. Working primarily on weekends, you will ensure business continuity and resolve technical issues that arise outside of standard business hours.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the stability of state agency servers and network infrastructure during weekend operations.
- Respond to and resolve critical IT service tickets and system alerts with a focus on rapid resolution.
- Perform scheduled software updates, patch management, and security hardening tasks.
- Ensure compliance with Georgia state data privacy and cybersecurity regulations.
- Document technical procedures and incident reports for the support team.
- Collaborate with the central IT team to implement long-term infrastructure improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as a standard part of the schedule.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and SQL databases.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CCNA is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
