Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues affecting City employees.
- Monitor server performance, system logs, and network traffic to ensure high availability and security.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates during low-traffic hours.
- Respond to help desk tickets and service requests via our ServiceNow ticketing system in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to resolve escalated incidents and implement long-term solutions.
- Conduct routine inspections of server rooms, telecommunications equipment, and physical IT infrastructure.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT support, Help Desk, or a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with remote access tools (VPN, RDP) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow experience is a plus).
- Ability to work independently, proactively, and with minimal supervision during night shifts.
- Clear background check and security clearance required for government employment.
