Responsibilities
- Monitor Systems: Continuously monitor server performance, network traffic, and system health to ensure 24/7 operational uptime for government services.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues for internal staff and external customers during the night shift.
- Help Desk Support: Manage and respond to help desk tickets and support requests with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
- Data Security: Enforce IT security protocols, perform vulnerability scans, and ensure compliance with state data privacy laws.
- Backups & Maintenance: Execute automated and manual system backups, apply critical patches, and perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, incident reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or system administration.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and TCP/IP networking.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
