Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot server hardware and network infrastructure during night shift operations to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates outside of peak business hours.
- Provide technical support and resolution for internal government staff via helpdesk ticketing systems.
- Respond to and resolve critical alerts and incidents that arise during off-peak hours.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate logs of all system activities and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to transfer knowledge and ensure seamless handover of ongoing projects.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or helpdesk roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
- Must be willing and available to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (if required).
