Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical services using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and coordinate multi-agency responses
- Operate radio equipment and communication technologies during high-pressure situations
- Provide critical information to first responders and the public
- Monitor surveillance systems and alert authorities to suspicious activities
- Participate in continuous training for emergency protocols and new technologies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years customer service or call center experience
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to obtain POST certification within 6 months
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems
- Exceptional communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual required)
- Ability to pass extensive background check and psychological evaluation
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays
