Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency calls via 911, radio, and digital channels
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical resources with precision and urgency
- Maintain detailed incident logs and update CAD systems in real-time
- Provide critical pre-arrival medical instructions via phone
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during complex emergencies
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarm systems throughout the city
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years customer service or call center experience
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Proficiency with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems
- EMT certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
