Responsibilities
- Manage 911 calls and prioritize emergency responses during night shift operations
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and coordinate with first responders
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and emergency notification platforms
- Provide crisis intervention and pre-arrival medical instructions
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years dispatch or public safety experience
- Valid POST Public Safety Dispatcher certification
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Proficiency in CAD/RMS systems (e.g., Versadex, Spillman)
- Ability to work rotating night shifts including weekends/holidays
- Certified in EMD/EMS protocols and crisis intervention
- Clear criminal background check and polygraph examination
