Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure government facilities through regular patrols and surveillance systems during overnight hours
- Respond to emergency calls and coordinate with law enforcement, fire departments, and EMS
- Conduct access control and ID verification for employees and visitors at secure locations
- Document incidents, security breaches, and patrol activities in detailed reports
- Operate emergency communication systems and maintain situational awareness
- Collaborate with day shift teams for seamless security continuity
- Conduct safety inspections and implement preventative security measures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in criminal justice preferred
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License and clean driving record
- Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Basic Peace Officer certification
- Minimum 2 years experience in security, law enforcement, or military service
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in surveillance systems, emergency radios, and incident reporting software
- Strong physical fitness to handle extended patrols and emergency response
- Clear criminal background check and drug-free certification
