Responsibilities
- Patrol designated city zones to prevent crime and ensure public safety during overnight hours
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents
- Document all activities, incidents, and observations using digital reporting systems
- Coordinate with emergency services (police, fire, EMS) during critical situations
- Conduct security checks of municipal buildings and public spaces
- Provide assistance to citizens and visitors requiring night-time support
- Maintain constant communication with dispatch and shift supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic certification in CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Clear background check and drug screening required
- Strong observational skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proficiency with digital reporting systems and surveillance technology
