Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure government facilities during overnight hours using advanced surveillance systems
- Conduct regular patrols and access control procedures to prevent unauthorized entry
- Respond promptly to security alerts, emergencies, and incident reports
- Document all security activities, incidents, and observations in detailed digital logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders during critical situations
- Maintain strict adherence to NYC government security protocols and procedures
- Operate security equipment including CCTV systems, alarm systems, and communication devices
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Security Guard License (required)
- Minimum of 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in using surveillance technology and digital reporting systems
- Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions during emergency situations
- US citizenship and ability to pass thorough background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
