Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure designated city facilities during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Conduct regular patrols to detect unauthorized access, safety hazards, or suspicious activity
- Operate security systems including CCTV, access control panels, and alarm monitoring
- Document incidents, patrol reports, and security breaches using digital reporting tools
- Coordinate with emergency services (police, fire) during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment, keys, and restricted areas
- Provide first aid assistance when required and maintain emergency response certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Texas Class 'C' Driver's License with clean driving record
- Valid Texas Security Officer License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided if needed)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Clear background check and drug screening mandatory
- Proficient in using security technology and reporting software
