Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior perimeters to ensure security and safety compliance.
- Control access and egress by verifying identification, screening packages, and issuing visitor badges.
- Monitor security surveillance systems and alarm panels, responding immediately to any irregularities.
- Respond to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, and security breaches, utilizing de-escalation tactics.
- Prepare detailed written reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities for case files.
- Maintain a high visibility presence to deter potential criminal activity and maintain order.
- Assist in the orientation of new employees and visitors to facility rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required; prior law enforcement or security experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, drug screen, and medical assessment.
- Must be available to work the night shift schedule (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) including weekends and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
- Physical agility required to perform patrolling duties and emergency response tasks.
