Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol federal facilities during overnight shifts (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Conduct access control screenings for personnel and visitors using biometric verification
- Respond to security breaches, alarms, and emergency incidents with decisive action
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security assessments for federal compliance
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies during critical incidents
- Operate advanced security technology including X-ray scanners and metal detectors
- Enforce federal security protocols and emergency response procedures
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (required)
- Minimum 3 years federal security or law enforcement experience
- Valid DC Security Guard License (DMPED certification)
- CPR/First Aid certification (current)
- Proficiency in C-CURE access control systems and CCTV monitoring
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours in high-stress environments
- U.S. citizenship and clean driving record
- Pass rigorous background investigation and polygraph screening
