Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol designated city facilities during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Respond to security breaches, alarms, and emergency incidents with immediate protocol compliance
- Conduct detailed security reports documenting incidents, observations, and suspicious activities
- Enforce access control procedures for sensitive government buildings and restricted areas
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical incidents
- Maintain communication protocols via radio and digital reporting systems
- Conduct routine equipment checks and maintenance of security infrastructure
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred in criminal justice or public safety
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
- Pass comprehensive background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency with surveillance systems and security software
