Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and facility security during overnight hours
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and access control protocols
- Respond to emergencies and incidents per established procedures
- Maintain accurate logs and incident documentation
- Supervise inmate work programs and movement within facility
- Collaborate with day shift personnel for seamless operations
- Enforce institutional rules and safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- T Peace Officer License (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Experience in security, military, or law enforcement preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Physical ability to perform security duties including lifting and restraint
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
