Responsibilities
- Monitor server health, network performance, and application availability 24/7 during the night shift.
- Execute routine system backups, patch management, and security updates to prevent downtime.
- Respond to and troubleshoot critical technical incidents and service tickets.
- Ensure strict compliance with state cybersecurity protocols and data privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with day-shift engineering teams to document issues and facilitate smooth transitions.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration or network support.
- Valid Driver’s License (required for state government positions).
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and basic scripting (PowerShell/Bash).
