The Role
As a Night Shift Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and availability of our critical state infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, servers, and workstations during night operations.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates to ensure data integrity.
- Respond to and resolve critical IT incidents and service requests with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with day-shift teams to ensure seamless handover of issues and system status.
- Document all maintenance activities, incidents, and resolutions in the state service management system.
- Ensure compliance with state security protocols and data privacy regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Systems Administration or Network Support.
- Must be available to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and TCP/IP networking.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
