We are looking for a detail-oriented IT specialist to ensure our systems run smoothly and securely for the citizens of Texas.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage and secure sensitive government databases in compliance with state regulations.
- Perform regular system audits and security checks to prevent data breaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new software solutions and upgrades.
- Document technical procedures and create training materials for staff.
- Respond to service requests and resolve incidents within SLA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT systems administration or support.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or CCNA are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and SQL databases.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a state security clearance.
