Responsibilities
- Collect and deposit refuse and recycling material from various collection points.
- Operate and maintain heavy-duty sanitation vehicles and equipment safely.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of sanitation vehicles.
- Clear snow and ice from streets and sidewalks during inclement weather.
- Ensure compliance with all city and departmental safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid New York State Class C Driver’s License required.
- Ability to pass a medical examination and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy manual labor in all weather conditions.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the United States.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality record.
