Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Coordinate with police officers, firefighters, and EMS during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during emergencies
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line telephone systems
- Collaborate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Complete comprehensive training modules in crisis intervention and protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong multitasking skills under pressure
- Clear diction and exceptional verbal communication
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn specialized software
- Must be 18+ years old and legally authorized to work in the US
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Tennessee driver's license with good driving record
