Responsibilities
- Perform general landscaping and maintenance duties, including mowing, weeding, and litter removal in parks and public areas.
- Assist in the setup, operation, and teardown of community events, festivals, and sports tournaments.
- Monitor park facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper lighting.
- Interact with the public in a professional manner, answering questions and providing information regarding park rules and programs.
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance on park equipment, structures, and playgrounds.
- Assist in the preparation and cleaning of recreational facilities and meeting spaces.
- Respond to service requests and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and operating power tools and machinery.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and maintenance practices.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License and reliable transportation are preferred.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by the department schedule.
