Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park facilities including playgrounds, athletic courts, and walking trails
- Assist in organizing recreational programs and community events for all age groups
- Perform routine inspections and minor repairs on park equipment and structures
- Enforce park safety protocols and provide visitor assistance and information
- Collaborate with team members on seasonal projects and facility improvements
- Document maintenance activities and submit regular reports to supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in recreation management preferred
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks in outdoor environments
- Experience with basic groundskeeping tools and equipment maintenance
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse community members
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays for events
