Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of parks, trails, and recreational facilities including lawn care, pruning, and debris removal
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist in event setup and breakdown for community gatherings, sports tournaments, and cultural festivals
- Conduct routine safety inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Implement conservation initiatives including invasive species removal and native plant restoration
- Provide exceptional customer service to park visitors and address inquiries professionally
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on facility improvements and special projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; AA degree in Environmental Science, Recreation Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in park maintenance, landscaping, or conservation work
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with clean record
- Ability to operate power tools (mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems) safely
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in tropical conditions
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Knowledge of native Hawaiian flora and conservation practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in teams
