Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, athletic fields, and recreational facilities through landscaping, irrigation, and equipment operation
- Lead youth and adult recreation programs including sports clinics, fitness classes, and special events
- Conduct facility inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Assist with park event setup, crowd management, and emergency response protocols
- Operate maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems
- Support volunteer coordination and community outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in parks maintenance or recreation program delivery
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of turf management and irrigation systems
