Responsibilities
- Design and lead innovative community programs across Portland's 300+ parks
- Manage multi-million dollar recreational facility operations
- Develop strategic partnerships with local nonprofits and businesses
- Oversee capital improvement projects for recreational infrastructure
- Train and supervise 15+ park staff and seasonal workers
- Ensure ADA compliance and accessibility standards implementation
- Manage departmental budget and resource allocation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management or related field
- 5+ years experience in municipal park systems
- Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) preferred
- Advanced first aid/CPR certification
- Proficient in budget management software
- Experience with grant writing and fundraising
- Strong conflict resolution and community engagement skills
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean record
