Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, athletic fields, and facilities through landscaping, equipment operation, and routine inspections
- Lead recreational programs including youth sports, fitness classes, and community events
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and emergency procedures during park operations
- Interact professionally with park visitors, providing information and resolving inquiries
- Collaborate with maintenance teams on facility repairs and seasonal projects
- Support special events setup, supervision, and breakdown
- Monitor park usage and report maintenance needs or safety concerns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- 1+ years experience in park maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
- Basic knowledge of turf management and irrigation systems
